Melissa + Kevin’s Cuban Wedding Film Highlights
After I posted some of the photographs I took for Melissa & Kevin’s wedding wedding in Cuba, I was fortunate enough to receive a ton of comments on the blog which were so rewarding to read! Thank you to everyone who took the time to look at the pictures and make a comment. Of course, first and foremost I’m a videographer so along with snapping a few stills, I was primarily in Cuba to film their wedding. For a destination wedding, there were actually quite a few people in attendance, something which is hard to achieve but which is a testament to Kevin & Melissa’s fun and outgoing nature.
When they first asked me to come to Cuba, Melissa was wondering if it would be possible to edit a trailer to show at their Vancouver reception on April 4th. Of course our answer here at Cloud Nine is always – YES, so below is the clip we put together for them to show their friends and family what happened in Cuba on their wedding day. I had to travel to Toronto for business, but I wish I could have been at the reception in person to watch everyone’s reaction as they shared the fabulous week that we all had in this tropical paradise. I hope you had a Mojito (or 2) for me!
So without any more delay, here’s what they showed at their reception!

beautiful!
quick question:
does smug mug encode whatever video you upload or do you encode and upload an .flv?
Awesome Bruce! Love the edit and the colors. Congrats Melissa + Kevin!
Great work Bruce. Definitely worthy of a mojito or three! I had iTunes playing Calvin Harris – I’m not alone (Deadmau5 mix) when I watched it first time, not wedding type music but thought it went well with your film. Maybe try it if you get chance
loved it, bruce! so smooth… even to the last shot…
I love this clip! (Not just because you’re my huz!) lol. I am AMAZED and IMPRESSED beyond belief that you did this with one camera – no assistant! You’re a rock star + I love you.
Thanks for watching the clip everyone and taking the time to comment. Andrew, if you’re considering SmugMug, here’s what they say on their website re: acceptable formats:
99% of the time we can convert from whatever you upload to the ever-so-cool h.264 format, which works on iPods, iPhones, AppleTV, PlayStations, and many other consumer devices.
You might consider using a program like MPEG Streamclip or Quicktime Pro to convert to h.264 before uploading.
Hope that helps! See you in Austin!
Wow, I loved that clip! Great posting.
Very Impressive. I absolutely love, love, love this video.
